Openview Administrator
It concerns an existing implementation of HP Openview Operations (OVO) and Network Node Manager (NNM). OVO and NNM are installed on a UNIX platform (HP-UX). Most of the servers that need administrating use MS Windows.
The task of the administrator is to configure and maintain the OVO, NNM installed on the UNIX platform and the Windows servers. He or she must have practical experience in administrating a big Openview configuration and is preferably certified.
Openview Specialist
He or she will concern oneself with a new implementation of Openview Operations for Unix (OVO). Besides Openview also Openview Reporter, Performance Manager and OVIS and/or BAC.
The specialist must technical knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure and maintain these products. Tasks are to support, advise and coach the customers. The physical implementation is done by the customer itself. The specialist has a supportive roll in this case. It is therefore more or less a consultative roll where technical knowledge and communicational skills are very important. Practical experience and certification have the preference.
